“My experience with Nancy as a mentor has been nothing short of transformative. She is exceptionally gifted at creative problem solving and always has insights into the challenges I face, professionally and personally, that give me new perspective. What makes Nancy a great mentor is her commitment to empowering others to learn to apply new techniques and creative ways of thinking on our own. Practically all I know about effective, inspiring, and compassionate leadership I have learned from her. Personally, I have found Nancy to be patient and empathic. I cannot recommend her highly enough.”
Nancy Parkes continues to inspire thought in our Matan participants and challenges everyone to think and dig deeper to affect change in their settings. While we at Matan work with our cohort participants to make their schools and communities more inclusive, Nancy is able to provide our participants with the tools they need to work towards long lasting change. Nancy’s way of connecting and building relationships with people gives all of the participants a comfort level to reach out to her with questions, and everyone finds her presentations not only inspiring, but very motivating. It is truly a pleasure to work with Nancy.
Nancy Parkes has elevated the year-long experience of our Matan Institute participants. She provides a unique opportunity for Jewish education leaders to think deeply about the change process. In the context of the Matan Institute, this allows them to recognize and better understand how to use their new tools for including diverse learners while at the same time creating systemic change in their own organizations. Nancy provides them with a creative and forward-thinking context in which to ask hard questions and wrestle with potential barriers to change. Nancy herself is constantly engaged in her own learning process, bringing new and powerful exercises and experiences every single time we engage with her. I recommend Nancy Parkes without reservation!
